I love to draw. I think around age 2 or 3, I picked up a crayon and never stopped. I was the kid who didn’t pay attention in class because I was busy customizing classmates binders and book covers with cartoons.

After high school, all I wanted to be was an illustrator. I could see myself busy creating western novel covers, Saturday Evening Post covers, and an occasional oil portrait, you know, just to prove I was still a “fine artist” too. So, I enrolled at Pensacola Christian College, super strict, but they had a fantastic art program where they still taught traditional drawing and painting.

…..but I didn’t quite realize the golden age of illustration was over. In fact, by the time I had finished college in the late 90’s, computer generated art was all the rage. I still managed to land an artist job with a greeting card company, and did freelance illustration on the side.

Over the past two decades, I got to do some amazing projects with some really great people and learned a lot along the way. Creating art has been a thrill of a lifetime, and I wouldnt trade it for anything.
