Why paint from life? There is so much more to a person than can be captured with a camera with a single image. By having a conversation when I paint, I’m able to capture not just the mere superficial structure of the face, but the soul of the subject. So how does this work? After a phone conversation with you to set a date and time we will pick a place to paint the portrait. The time to paint the painting is between 2-3 hours (don’t worry, these are twenty minutes at a time with lots of breaks in between). The cost is $200 sitting fee plus travel if necessary; the framing is not included. At the end of the session, if you are pleased with your portrait you have the option to purchase for an additional $100. Contact the artist below to get more information.
- Sitting fee: $200
- Final canvas: $100
- Optional Framing: $80 and up depending on size (portraits are 16″x20″ oil on canvas)
*travel fees not included if artist must travel more than 25 miles. Prices are for single subject, no pets or backgrounds (negotiable).
